ready to be hung in pride of place straight on your wall

All my finished felts are wrapped around classic canvas stretchers as used by painters. Building up the layers of fibres making up the work, creating the colours and type of your pet's coat and adding all the little details is a lengthy labour of love which can take weeks.

Prices begin at £350 plus postage and packaging for a small portrait with a plain background and £550 for a large. I ask for a 50% deposit with the balance payable before I post the completed work.

Pets come in all shapes and size;  dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters - the two things in common with my pet portraits are they're all commemorating a special friendship with a beloved pet and fur.  Your felted portrait will be created using merino wool tops, essentially sheep fur.

If you wish, I can incorporate hair groomed from your pet into the piece.

Landscapes real and imagined

Recently I was commissioned to create a landscape of the extremely picturesque Saint Werburgh’s Church, from Wembury peninsula for a wedding gift. The clients opted for a diptych and wanted me to include The Mew Stone, a tiny uninhabited island just off shore.

Gifting a commission

Possibly the most thoughtful gift ever for someone you care about; a portrait of their very special friend.

Commissions as gifts: whether with a specific date or a close deadline, please consider a gift certificate and let your recipient make the decisions. They simply need to get in touch as soon as they're ready to start.

Gift certificates are digital and come in two options Large - £570 or Small - £370 and include postage and packaging. They state the size of portrait and are numbered all other variables can be decided by the recipient. There is no charge for the certificate and no expiry date. However, they do require full payment. If the giftee wishes to change from the standard options an additional charge may be payable by them.

Gift certificates can be sent to you or directly to the giftee.

Working Collaboratively

Between Purr & Wag It and my personal practice I'm really lucky to work with communities.

Wet felt making is a great process for all ages and abilities. The image below is the third part of a 1.5m high felted triptych made with pupils and staff of Haymerle School, Peckham, London. It commemorates the centenary of the First World War.

But this isn't all I do. The image above is of a suspended sculpture I made with a huge cross section of the community of White City Estate for Park view Centre for Health & Wellbeing on Bloemfontein Road, London W12.
